Thomas Sandgaard acquires Charlton Athletic Football Club from East Street Investments in £55 million deal.
Sports Media Consultancy successfully advised key stakeholders in the sale of Charlton Athletic Football Club to Danish businessman, Thomas Sandgaard.
Sandgaard commented;
“While there was an injunction in place to prevent the acquisition of ESI, it did not prevent the acquisition of the club itself and so I am thrilled to announce that I have acquired the club from ESI."
The sale will see Thomas Sandgaard replace outgoing Executive Chairman and minority Shareholder, Matt Southall.
Southall commented;
"Whilst there were many complexities surrounding the transaction, I'm delighted that we were able to complete the sale to Thomas, who I believe will be a breath of fresh air and very good for the club in the coming future."
